The Oracle Certification Program for Java is provided by Pearson VUE and it's possible to take exams in any of the authorized centers.

There are four levels of skill: associate, professional, expert and master. The suggested path is to start with "Programmer I" and "Programmer II", then it's possible to get any other certification, depending on the skills required, or get the master "Java developer" certification.

These are the exams currently available (not all updated to Java 7):

Oracle Certified Associate:

• Java SE7 - Programmer I (OCAJP): 1Z0-803

Oracle Certified Professional:

• Java SE7 - Programmer II (OCPJP) : 1Z0-804 (Programmer I required)

Oracle Certified Expert:

• Java EE 6 - Enterprise JavaBeans developer : 1Z0-895
• Java EE 6 - Java persistence developer : 1Z0-898
• Java EE 6 - Web services developer (SCDJWS) : 1Z0-897
• Java EE 6 - Web component developer (SCWCD) : 1Z0-899 (Programmer II required)
• Java Mobile Edition - Mobile application developer (SCMAD) : 1Z0-869
• Java EE 5 - Business component developer (SCBCD) : 1Z0-860

Oracle Certified Master:

• Java SE6 - Java Developer (OCMJD) : 1Z0-855 1Z0-856 1Z0-857 (Programmer II required)
• Java EE 6 - Enterprse Architect (SCEA): 1Z0-807 1Z0-865 1Z0-866 1Z0-867
